What are your goals in lifting, and what got you started?

Just want people's stories and what they plan on getting out of lifting. Whether it be competing, modeling, or just having a better body, it's important to have a plan. Go ahead and share!

  1. i started a year and a half ago after finally realizing that being 238lbs @ 5'11 and 25% bodyfat is not the way I want to live during my college years. i made the commitment to diet and workout hard and it worked. i'm down to 188lb @ 12% bf (caliper) and i'm honestly loving all the attention i get now, from girls mirin to guys asking for workout tips to old highschool classmates stunned that i'm not ridiculously fat anymore. the best decision i've made for myself by far!

  2. Great story and progress. That's true commitment right there. Right now I'm cutting using keto and it seems to be working. I want to get lean as hell before the summer (currently around 14%). What got me started though was p90x actually. I wanted to get bigger and be ripped. Saw the commercials and thought I would try it. Turns out it didn't work for me but somehow I stumbled on bodybuilding.com and that's what got me lifting.

  3. I dont lift atm, but since I just started college, I'm gonna hit up the gym. I just wanna gain some muscle and stay tone. Just gotta look good!
